The DECKHAND XL uses an excavator’s hydraulics to safely and efficiently load or unload pipe from a rail car, trailer, pipe rack, or yard.

The DECKHAND XL allows for easy installation and maintenance. Features include:

• Our design is modular which makes it easy to change out arms to accommodate different pipe sizes, pipe coatings, and pipe wall thickness. The main beam can accept any of the five current arm housing types and additional arm types as they are developed.
  

• Upper head mounts to ANY BRAND of excavator in the 60 to 75 metric ton range. (Common examples would include Caterpillar models 360 and 374.)
  

• Patented Pipe Arm design ensures that adjacent pipes are never disturbed when picking up roped pipe from a pile or stack. Pipe Arm linings insure that coated pipe is NEVER damaged.
  

• Snow or ice covered pipe can be picked up as-is by the DECKHAND XL. No more sweeping off pipe.
  

• Unlike traditional pipe handling, The DECKHAND XL can handle pipe from an off-center position. No more marking centerlines.
  

• Display in excavator cab allows operator to monitor and adjust all functions, pressures and volumes from inside the operators cab.
  

• All DECKHAND XL controls are located on special handles mounted to excavator joystick controls.
  

• Rotate function allows for 360 degree continuous rotation of lower head and beam in either direction.
  

• Shift function allows arms to move along the main beam 8.5 inches. Arms can move left to right independent of each other. Arms can be moved in unison or opposing.
  

• Tilt function allows for 15 degrees of tilt in both directions.
  

• Grab arm function is used to pick up pipe and hold pipe securely. Load control valves ensure pipe is never dropped regardless of hydraulic pressure.
  

• Optional stick mounted camera allows operator to see in even the most difficult spaces.
  

• Up to 50,000 lb. lift capacity
